PRIMARY RESOURCES

Here are some links to the best, mainly free, resources I can find for young learners. They may support the work of teachers trying to implement the UK primary languages strategy. I do not usually include commercial resources, partly because there are already so many good free resources out there. The Y7 section of this site has OHTs and other resources to help you. Keep checking back - this is a rapidly evolving area in the UK.

We have followed the guidelines of the National Curriculum for MFL at KS2." You will find powerpoints and interactive exercises. The powerpoints incorporate sound and clear pictures. The ones I've looked at are good. NEW 10.5.08

Learnbase is a recent initiative from Ben Creasey, from Baldock (UK) who aims to share a "coherent framework which is universally agreed, where everyone knows what is being done, so that we are all working towards a goal: a coherent, useful point of transfer to secondary school." Teachers are invited to contribute resources to this evolving site. NEW 2.5.08
