Using ce, cette, ces                                                                 Classe de cinquième

 

If you want to say this or  these with a noun following we use ce, cette or ces.

 

Exemples:    this boy = ce garçon     this girl = cette fille  these men = ces hommes

 

When the  noun following is masculine and starts with a vowel or an “h” we normally use cet instead of ce.

 

Exemples:    this plane = cet avion        this man = cet homme
