Video listening. This is a report about a new initiative for reforming the French prison system. The exercise is to compare written sentences with what is actually said, underline and replace incorrect words. Opportunity for oral discussion too. This fits with an AQA A-level syllabus sub-theme.
Video listening. A short (42 second) report from France 2 about cinema box-office sales in the world and France in 2017. Students have to identify and correct differences between sentences and the transcript. Some useful data for A-level AO4.
Video listening for Higher Tier GCSE (intermediate). A report on a recent study about how eating organic food may reduce the risk of illness and cancer. This would work with a really good top set group in Y11. Could also be an interesting filler lesson with advanced level groups (even though it's not an A-level sub-theme). it's interesting anyway! A good opportunity to explain the difference between correlation and causation.
