This is an idea I came acroos many years ago. Students work in pairs. Each partner has a fairy story, but there are 15 differences between the two stories. The students must work together to identify them. A classic information gap task. Chat GPT wrote the stories, which I lightly edited. CEFR B2.
A booklet comprising 18 pages of vocab building, sentence creation and fluency practice tasks for the nine AQA GCSE sub-themes. Also useful and adaptable for Pearson Edexcel, even though they do not specify topics. The whole booklet could be used, or specific topics chosen to share with students. CEFR A2/B1 (GCSE Higher).
I've uploaded another parallel reading task to the Y7 collection. It's called 'A day in the life of a cat'. Students must read the parallel texts, find true statements, then complete some easy daily routine senetnces of their own. CEFR A1.

This is a series of PowerPoint slides using the 'disappearing text' principle which works so well. A beginner, very short text about Maxime, with words gradually removed in each slide. Ends with a short scaffolded writing task. Edit as necessary for your class. Instructions given. CEFR A1.
