Video listening. 20th anniversary of the Channel Tunnel. A report from AFP via Youtube. Vocabulary and questions in French, with a focus on facts and figures. In the adult student section, but it could be used at A-level or with excellent intermediate students.

Video listening for adult students: the International Garden Festival, Chaumont-sur-Loire. 3m 29 video with gap fill. Advanced level, but with reasonably easy gaps. It's an amazingly creative garden show. We went to it once.

Two video listening resources: both based on videos from Le Français Interactif (Texas Uni). The first is a simple guided tour of Lyon (Y8-9 - low intermediate), the second is a series of short interviews about love and marriage for AS level (low advanced). The AS level sheet is available as a free sample.

A set of graded sentences for translation. Future tense. Easy standard.

Article and exercises on tea drinking in France. The French are drinking more tea, but not the British variety with milk. This piece may be of particular interest to adult students.

A set of simple translation into French sentences using the perfect tense (passé composé). VERY old school, but some teachers may like to use these. I've put it in Y8, but it could be used in Y9 too. You could easily work through them orally to fix up some accuracy issues. Michael Gove would like them.
