A starter for Y8 (maybe Y9 too). Matching starts and ends of sentences. 20 slides. Instructions given. This is a simplified version of the Y9 slides. CEFR A1.

, Y7 (Beginner)

20 slides, two sentences to translate per slide. Gapped answers given to make it easier. You'll find this among the Y7 starters. Could be done orally or, maybe better, on paper. Edit as you wish to suit your class.

Another starter for Y9. 'Match up.' 20 slides, 4 slides per topic (School, Technology, Pastimes, Food, Holidays). Students match starts and ends of 4 sentences per slide. Focus on grammatical noticing (tense, endings, articles, partitives and more). Instructions/suggestions given.

, Y7 (Beginner)

A simple information gap task to practise how to say phone numbers in French. Numbers up to 60 are used, but you can edit. Students work in pairs. You just need to model how phone numbers are read out in French, two figures at a time. A1.
