A translate-transcribe worksheet based on the beautiful Francis Cabrel song 'Te ressembler' (2021). Teacher instructions provided. Good for Y13 or a very strong Y12. CEFR B2.

, Y10-11 (Intermediate)

A lesson plan based on a text about how countries are affected unequally by the climate crisis. Pupils ask questions first from a list. the teacher gives answers from the text as the class take notes. In pairs, notes are compared, before the text is handed out for further work. Higher GCSE/A2-B1.

, Y12-13 (Advanced)

A lesson plan based on a text about the state of volunteering in France in 2022. Students are given a set of questions to ask. The teacher has the text and gives answers which the class takes notes on. Then in pairs students compare note before seeing the text and doing exercises on it. A listening exercise focused on tense recognition. 20 sentences to read aloud. Students must first spot the tense (past or present), then translate each sentence. No time expressions are given, so students must focus on the verb form. Students could then try examples with a partner. CEFR A1.

, Y10-11 (Intermediate)

A handout with an optional exercise all about expressions with bon/bonne(s) such as 'bonne chance', 'bon voyage', 'bonne route' etc. You could hand it out at various levels, but to do the optional exercise, some skill would be needed. I've put it in the Y10-11 Vocabulary section (right-hand column).
