An addition to the set of narrow listening tasks. This one is called A visit to Paris. Students listen, do a matching task and true/false. Patterns are repeated frequently. You can extend the task in various ways.

Video listening based on a 1jour1question video. This is about the right to vote and why one should vote. Gap-fill based on sentences adapted from the text, plus vocabulary to find.

A PowerPoint for beginners showing school subjects with days of the week (plus the weekend). Built-in sequence.

A short text, with vocab to find and true/false/not mentioned. It's about a charity set up by teenagers, with the aim of providing socks to people living on the street or in migrant camps. Could be used with a very good Y9 class, but fine for Y10 or Y11 (CEFR A2).

Video listening. A report about student poverty from regional TV. The task is to correct a faulty transcript. This 2 minute report would also fit well with the themes of poverty and volunteering.
