I have been adding further text-to-speech recordings of instant listening resources on the Y10-11 and A-level pages. These give you the option of playing a recording rather than reading aloud or recording yourself. They sound slightly artificial, but I'd be happy to use them.

I have begun to upload some MP3 audio files to accompany the Instant Listening tasks on the Y10-11 page. They are "text-to-speech" recordings, so of good quality in terms of pronunciation, moderate in pace, but with slightly artificial intonation. You could use these instead of reading aloud or recording the texts yourself, if you prefer.

An "ask the experts" task for A-level. Topic: the New Wave of French cinema. The idea is that three "experts" each have a different French paragraph about the new wave. Together, the paragraphs provide a good introduction to the subject. The others in the group have to go round asking 11 questions thye have each been given, taking notes from the experts, then synthesising those notes into a summary in French. there are three other similar tasks on the A-level page (scroll well down, right hand column).

PowerPoint for beginners. Qu'est-ce que Spotty va faire? This provides a logical sequence for teaching, including choral repetition, translation, a guessing game and some very basic grammar. Editable and adaptable as usual. Spotty is my Pixabay copyright-free dog who is used repeatedly in my beginner PowerPoints.
