The teacher reads the text, students listen, underline where they hear differences and write in the word(s) they hear. Good for the A-level family theme, with just a few facts and figures.
Video listening. This resource is linked to a Peppa Pig video on YouTube called Premier jour de neige. The exrcises is to complete sentences by choosing one of three vocab options. A vocab gloss is also given to help. A very good Y9 class would manage this, but probably Y10 is better.

An article with exercises about the reform of the baccalauréat in France. This is a two page text, with vocab to find and a summary to write. Students will end up with a clear idea of how the bac works. Best for Y13, but could be used with a very good Y12 group.

Video listening. This is from the Arte Junior Portrait d'enfant YouTube collection again. But this one is for A-level. It's about Sorina, a Rom who lives with her family in Paris. An interesting insight into the lives of 'Tziganes'. The task to complete a gapped summary. This could be used in the context of various themes: family, traditions or diversity.
