Advanced "30 minute listening" about the French Resistance. This is a "correct the faulty transcript" task which supplies useful listening and an overview of the role of the Résistance intérieure. Teacher and pupil copies provided, with a few notes.

A-level listening. This is a "correct the faulty transcript" activity on the topic of women living alone in France. The teacher reads the text, students listen, underline where they hear differences and write in the word(s) they hear. Good for the A-level family theme, with just a few facts and figures.

Video listening. This resource is linked to a Peppa Pig video on YouTube called Premier jour de neige. The exrcises is to complete sentences by choosing one of three vocab options. A vocab gloss is also given to help. A very good Y9 class would manage this, but probably Y10 is better.

A simple PowerPoint presentation about Greta Thunberg. Some text, true/false and gap-fill. Key vocab highlighted. Quite a lot of cognates to help. This could be a nice little 20 minute standalone task.

Video listening. An excellent report from France TV Info about migrants crossing from Italy into France through the Alps. Questions to answer in French and oral/written summary. A well paced, interesting report. A good launchpad for discussion too.

An article with exercises about the reform of the baccalauréat in France. This is a two page text, with vocab to find and a summary to write. Students will end up with a clear idea of how the bac works. Best for Y13, but could be used with a very good Y12 group.

Video listening. This is from the Arte Junior Portrait d'enfant YouTube collection again. But this one is for A-level. It's about Sorina, a Rom who lives with her family in Paris. An interesting insight into the lives of 'Tziganes'. The task to complete a gapped summary. This could be used in the context of various themes: family, traditions or diversity.
